These past weeks for reading I have been looking at street art. We learnt about a few different artists: Banksy, Reweti, John Pule, Vhils and many more. We had to create a poster about one and explain who they are and about some of their paintings. I chose Banksy because I thought that he was cool for being anonymous. While we were reading the storeys about the artists we had some goals they were: Make connections between texts. Identify some text events and features, and discuss what they can make the reader think about. Think while reading, pick up new information, and come up with new ideas and thinking. I found out some interesting information this week in reading. Did you know that Banksy bases his art off of emotions and climate. Next time we read about street artists I would like to make a painting that has a similar style to Banksy. Here is my poster below⬇. If you were learning about street art who would you choose?
